What We Do
Enchantably is an AI-powered platform that transforms children’s favorite toys, pets, and family members into the heroes of personalized, professionally printed storybooks. Parents upload a few photos, choose a story theme, and our AI pipeline generates original rhyming poetry, panoramic illustrations, and a press-ready book—all in minutes.
Every book is unique: the characters are illustrated from the user’s own photos, the verse is written fresh for each order, and the artwork maintains visual consistency across every spread. The result is a hardcover keepsake that feels handcrafted, delivered to the family’s door.
The Problem We Solve
Children form deep emotional bonds with their toys and pets, but there is no simple way for families to turn those attachments into lasting, tangible stories. Existing personalized book services are limited to inserting a child’s name into a pre-illustrated template—the characters are generic, the stories are one-size-fits-all, and the result does not feel personal.
Enchantably solves this by using generative AI to create truly bespoke content: each book features the child’s actual companions rendered as illustrated characters in an original story written just for them. We also extend this into educational territory with our Safety Magic line, which teaches critical safety concepts (fire safety, water safety, stranger danger, and more) through the lens of characters kids already trust.
Target Audience
Our primary customers are parents and grandparents of children ages 2–8 who want meaningful, personalized gifts. Secondary audiences include teachers creating classroom books, coaches building team keepsakes, and anyone looking for a unique gift through our gift certificate program. We serve customers across the United States with domestic printing and fulfillment.

Each character is transformed into a persistent illustrated identity that remains visually consistent across every page of the book. Our proprietary pipeline solves the core challenge of generative illustration: maintaining facial geometry, proportions, and distinguishing features at scale, even as scenes, poses, and lighting change from spread to spread.

Our poetry engine enforces true prosody—not just end-rhyme, but syllable count, stress pattern, and rhyme scheme fidelity. Recurring locations maintain spatial consistency across spreads: furniture stays in place, camera angles vary naturally, and characters appear only when physically present in the scene. Adult characters are assigned narrative roles that govern their body language and placement, producing illustrations with cinematic coherence rather than random composition.

Our illustration pipeline maintains character identity across panoramic spreads featuring multiple characters simultaneously. A proprietary reference-management system ensures that each character’s likeness is preserved even in complex multi-character scenes, without the drift that typically degrades generative consistency over long-form content.

Each stage of book creation is routed to a purpose-selected Vertex AI model with automatic fallback chains and post-generation quality verification. The pipeline includes automated likeness scoring, content safety checks, and composition validation—catching issues before they reach the customer.

Enchantably is built entirely on Google Cloud. Every customer interaction—from authentication to AI generation to print fulfillment—runs on GCP services.
Vertex AI / Gemini
Primary AI backbone. We use Gemini 3.x image models for illustration generation, Gemini 3.5-flash for poetry with extended thinking, and Gemini 2.5-flash/pro for analysis, review, and fallback. Every book triggers 20–40+ model calls across avatar creation, scene direction, poem generation, illustration, and quality verification.
Firebase Platform
Firebase Auth for user management, Cloud Firestore for real-time document storage (orders, stories, characters), Cloud Storage for user uploads and generated assets, Firebase App Hosting for the Next.js application, and Cloud Functions for scheduled tasks (engagement emails, gift certificate delivery).
Cloud Run
Runs our headless Puppeteer PDF rendering service that converts illustrated spreads into press-ready print files. Handles dynamic scaling for concurrent book renders with font-readiness detection and signed-URL asset loading.
Cloud Vision API
Landmark detection for our Hometown Magic product line, which generates storybooks set in real locations. Cloud Vision identifies landmarks in user-uploaded location photos, which are then woven into the story narrative and illustration prompts.
Current Stage
Enchantably is a live product actively serving customers. Our full creation-to-print pipeline is operational, processing orders end-to-end with automated AI generation, PDF rendering, and print fulfillment. We are expanding our story template library and scaling usage of Google Cloud and Vertex AI as our customer base grows.
